Legal Attorney - Litigation The candidate will manage small to medium civil litigation matters, including supervision of outside li! tigation counsel on all phases of civil litigation. Will handle other legal matters as assigned. Perform review and risk analysis of incoming lawsuits, regulatory complaints, and other pre-litigation matters. Supervise outside counsel, and coordinate and direct litigation strategy to resolve lawsuits and other matters expeditiously and economically. Travel to and attend mediations, corporate depositions and significant trial hearings. Review and edit pleadings and discovery documents before filing/service. Coordinate with Sr. Litigation Paralegal, ediscovery Paralegal, business line and others on litigation holds and all discovery matters. Collaborate with company management and staff to minimize litigation risk.
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Should also have a J.D. degree or equivalent from an accredited institution and be licensed to practice law, preferably in PA or NJ. Must have 3-5 years of law firm or corporation civil litigatio! n experience. Knowledge of all relevant aspects of litigation ! and dispute resolution required. General commercial or financial services/banking litigation experience a plus.
