The Manager of Business Analysis and Quality Assurance is responsible for addressing business problems b! y analyzing requirements, defining processes, and designing technical solutions. This professional defines and oversees the testing processes for new applications and ensures changes introduced in the production environment are evaluated for quality prior to deployment. This role reports to the Director of Application Development and Operations, working under general direction and managing and mentoring staff.
Duties include:
Coordinate closely with IT management and staff to deliver technical solutions that effectively meet business requirements. Work closely with attorneys and administrative professionals in Finance, HR, Marketing, Knowledge Management and other key departments to ensure that critical financial, informational, practice-specific and personnel data systems development meets requirements for functionality, accuracy, and reliability. Coordinate the requirements analysis and functional design for system applications and the identification o! f integration points to existing applications. Review existing! business processes and evaluate output requirements. Coordinate closely with application developers throughout the development life cycle. Lead implementation projects. Manage project timelines, resource requirements, issues, and risks. Act as a liaison between IT and the firms business points of contact. Plan and manage the testing process for IT applications, with a focus on quality of delivery.
Qualifications
At least 7-10 years of IT work experience, including management, supervisory or team leader experience. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field; or equivalent work experience. PMI Certification strongly preferred. Strong understanding of Business Process Management concepts and their application to IT enterprise systems deliverables. Extensive experience in IT Project Management, including development, oversight and resolution of multi-tiered and multi-departmental project initiatives. Demonstrated technical exp! ertise to provide leadership and insight in the review of application components. Knowledge of software testing methodology. Strong oral and written communication skills.
