This position is available as a result of consistent growth of our practice. The firm, located on the Main Line, just west of Philadelphia, is recognized as a leader in exempt organization law and works exclusively on matters related to nonprofits, including public charities and private foundations. The firm has an impressive list of ! clients in local, national, and international markets.
Demonstrated commitment to, and desire to work with, nonprofit organizations
At least 3 years tax experience - Firm or in house position; exempt organization tax experience desired, but general tax would be acceptable
Licensed to practice law in PA
Excellent communications skills â€" both orally and in writing
Personal Characteristics - positive; decisive; hardworking; mature; poised/level headed; articulate; takes responsibility and initiative; energetic; thoughtful; team player
Other factors for consideration include:
Corporate law experience â€" ideally exempt organization/nonprofit, though general corporate experience would be acceptable
Trusts and Estates â€" Orphans Court, Federal Transfer Tax (estate, gift, and GST), charitable gift planning
Private Firm (preferably big firm) experience
Licensed to practice law in other states, ! NJ most preferred
Other relevant professional experience in the nonprofit sector
Also helpful: LLM in Tax, Real estate law, transactional work, nonprofit board experience; speaking experience.
