LITIGATION PARALEGAL
This Paralegal position requires previous experience , attention to detail, organizational ability, research capabilities, great communicati! on skills and an excellent sense of humor. The best candidate for this job must enjoy a fast-paced e nvironment in a small, friendly and busy law practice and can work independently with flexible hours.
Paralegal will work directly with lead attorney, also the owner of the firm, assisting with all litigation matters. Your time will be spent; implementing new systems and current ones for organization of computer files and paper files , assisting with drafting and answering pleadings, scheduling depositions, communicating with clients, court personnel and attorneys, managing cases from beginning to end. Frequently, this job requires quick thinking and problem solving. If you are an orga nized individual who enjoy s chall enge with flexibility , assuming responsibilities with legal tasks, and possess a calm demeanor, this is the place for you.
Skillset:
Highly organized and detailed
Excellent writing , proof-reading and research skills
M! ust be computer literate in the following applications: Mi! crosoft Word and Outlook, and Time Matters
Must be proficient in on-line filing systems in Federal and Courts of Common Pleas
Experience:
Must possess prior experience working on cases involving on-going civil litigation
Must have experience with case management; organizing litiga tion process, setting up files, scheduling deadlines, communicating with all parties, setting up pleadings and proofreading, filing with courts
Education :
Undergrad uate degree and/or Paralegal Certification
Hours â€" Approximately 2 0 hours per week, schedule flexible daytime hours
