Ballard Spahr LLP, a national law firm with over 450 lawyers in 13 offices seeks a Chief Financial Officer to oversee the firm’s financial management s! ystems, operations and services. This encompasses all personnel, systems and processes involved in budget planning and control, new business intake, transaction processing, accounting and internal controls, financial analysis and reporting, tax compliance and reporting, cash management and other treasury functions.
The chosen candidate will engage with Firm leadership to identify, analyze and evaluate strategic opportunities, and to promote and facilitate firm, department, office and engagement management and profitability.
Required Skills
The position requires solid technical skills in accounting, tax, and financial management, and facility with systems and work-flow design and implementation in the realm of accounting and financial management. The Firm seeks applicants with demonstrated leadership, organizational and analytical skills; and with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Required Experience
Qualified candidate! s will possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting, and have a m! inimum of ten years of accounting, tax and financial management experience, preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment. MBA and/or CPA, and public accounting experience is preferred.
