Description
Seeking an experience litigation/trial attorney for a managing attorne! y role with American Express Legal, which requires an in-depth knowledge of the credit card collection process including all applicable federal and state law.
This attorney will manage an in-house first party collection practice for American Express. This is a dynamic position requiring managerial, extensive trial litigation and complete collection process skills. Candidate will manage a complete facility with the collection process from initial contact with the debtor, through and including all phases of litigation and post-judgment remedy.
This attorney will also be responsible for monitoring of trial appearances and motion calendar, preparation of status reports on all cases. Additionally, candidate will have supervision of all Administrative Assistants preparing legal documents to be filed in court, and constant monitoring of legal documents to comply with court rules.
Qualifications
Qualified applicants must possess:

- Minimum five years trial experience in credit card litigat! ion collection practice within the state courts of Pennsylvania, and have at least 20 trials to judgment
- Proven ability to manage an In-House first party legal collection practice from initial contact with debtor through post-judgment collection remedy
- Thorough understanding of all federal and state law regarding debt collection with respect to credit cards
- Bar admission in good standing in the State of Pennsylvania. Admission to New Jersy and New York ia a plus.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
