The Director of New Product Development will be a member of the company s senior management team and will be responsible for creating service models aimed at providing international parcel delivery and management solutions to e-commerce players.
This is a high profile and highly visible position Essential Duties: Evaluate and make decisions on new business ventures and development that can impact improvements to market penetration Perform special project s that represents the broad interests of the company where senior level representation is required. Evaluate company s strategy , markets, competitive service offerings and strength of operations Lead in the identification, analysis and development of the business cases for investing in new business opportuniti! es for both new and existing markets to achieve profitable gro! wth for the company. Coordinate with all appropriate company, and external resources including legal, finance, principals, external attorneys, consultants, etc. in effort to complete transactions in a timely and effective manner.
Research, identify and analyze potential new business opportunities sourced from both internal and external resources within the company, affiliates and selected markets Lead discussions and negotiations with potential business partner, involving the principals and senior management from the target firms and company senior management. Assist in customer prospecting activities for both new and existing service offerings Participate in customer contacts when appropriate both independently and in conjunction with company sales department Continue to stay abreast of competitive developments and markets, technology in industries serviced by company Lead in rate and service negotiations with LPGM for both company s wholesale and retail business.! Develop tailor-made offers for key accounts. Qualifications: Bachelors degree with 5 -7 years experience; or 6 10 years experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry Must have proven ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, clients and customers. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Also able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or sch! edule form.
