Has recent relevant experience administering applications executing under Windows 7 operating system. Administration experience includes both configuring and deploying applications to Windows environment.
Knowledge of System Center Configuration Manager is very helpful but not required.
Ability to perform software builds and elevations, and to recreate prior versions. Monitor software, hardware, and/or middleware updates.
1. Maintain and administer source code archive databases (e.g., Source Repository for version management of source code; and Bug Reporting for adding users and fields, and changing permissions).
2. Use configuration tools, processes, and standards. Reviews Configuration Management plans with leads and manager.
3. Update documentation, including configuration templates, guides, and release notes. Upda! te configuration and builds plans.
4. Add, update, an! d complete Change Management database records. Research and resolve basic issues. Learn to package and test in-house applications for elevations using Wise tool suite.
5. Create standard and ad hoc reports for IT project teams and managers.
6. Participate in Inspections, elevations, and related meetings to address configuration issues.
7. Learns and complies with IT policies and procedures, especially those for quality and productivity standards that enable the team to meet established client service levels. Learns and complies with Information Security policies and procedures.
8. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP / Windows 7 including a strong understanding of the internal Windows registry.
Demonstrated knowledge of the following products:
Microsoft Office Suite 2010
Wise Packaging Studio
Microsoft Service Center! Configuration Manager 2007 (preferred)
Subversion
SQL Server
Lotus Notes v8.5
Visual Basic .NET
Other Competencies:
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of training and experience.
Two years' general business experience, including one year configuration, change management, or development experience.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong problem analysis and research skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual contributor
