Complex Litigation Attorney
Unique In-house opportunity for an experienced trial attorney seeking to focus on complex litigation without the challenges associated with private practice
.
This lead trial attorney position for complex litigation will be part of a unique team responsib! le for providing top quality representation to
Hartford
insureds in litigated matters. The qualified candidate must be able to independently handle a caseload of some of our most complex/high exposure product liability, construction, premises operations and auto liability matters. The attorney will be accountable for performing all litigation activities on assigned matters through the trial and appellate stages, including but not limited to drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery, conducting depositions, appearing in Court for motion argument, conferences, etc., conducting legal research, attending mediations, trying cases to verdict and drafting and arguing appeals.
Extensive jury trial experience of high-value cases at both the liability and damages phase is required. An understanding of the tripartite relationship and a commitment to providing a high level of customer service and detailed reporting to claim center personnel is critical to su! cceeding in this role. Additionally, candidate must have super! ior organization skills, the ability to think strategically and a strong desire to be challenged in all aspects of their responsibilities.
Qualifications
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Qualified candidates will have the following requirements:
JD from accredited law school and license to practice in
Pennsylvania
required.
Experienced litigation attorney, including extensive trial experience.
Minimum 10+ years law practice, preferably within the insurance defense industry dealing with complex tort, general liability matters.
