Judge Healthcare is actively seeking a Clinical Coder for a 3 month assignment with a major health system in the Philadelphia area.Responsibilities include: Coding all procedures for diagnosis ! and CPT coding.Examines, verifies, adjusts, and corrects medical records and bills to ensure accuracy and consistency.Reports discrepancies to appropriate hospital personnel and ensures corrective action is taken in a timely manner.Reviews physician-billing practices against documentation in the medical record to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and third party billing requirements, rules, and regulations.Provides physician and staff education as neededEducation/Training/Experience: Certified CPT coder required.Some college level business courses and/or equivalent experience in health field preferred.Minimum of two years practical clinical and/or auditing experience.Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.Excellent analytical skills are required.A broad knowledge of the disease process, normal/abnormal findings, reasonable course of treatment, quality assurance, and risk management issues is essential.Some training skills required to explain r! equirements and provide guidance to areas experiencing billing! problems
