Employee Relations Consultant The candidate provides day-to-day support for employees and managers around employee relations issues and concer! ns, and counsels clients on workplace trends. Conducts investigations into employee relations complaints and makes recommendations on appropriate resolutions. Responsible for ensuring that employee policies, practices, and programs are consistently applied across client group and enterprise-wide. Works directly with managers to complete the business case and work force analysis for job elimination plans. Assists in providing leadership and company-wide direction on policies, programs and initiatives in support of business objectives to foster an environment of positive employee relations, including guidance that manages and/or mitigates company risk. Working in partnership with the Human Resources community and in collaboration with allied functional and business areas, provides consultation and/or implements solutions on Employee Relations matters and workplace trends. Effectively manages employee relations practices in the delivery of services, including ADA Accommodation! s, I-9 and E-verify issues, exit interview processes, employee! engagement surveys and organizational effectiveness reviews. In partnership with appropriate areas, pro-actively assists in developing Employment Relations policies for the enterprise and ensures proper education and communication of such policies to impacted parties and the enterprise as necessary. Provides sound, constructive and timely consultation, coaching and training to HR, the business and/or other groups on the complete range of employee relations issues to include performance management and workplace investigations. This consultation may pertain to corporate policy and/or relevant state and federal laws and regulations. Acts as an integral liaison between the legal area, other key corporate partners and the HR generalist community on employee relations matters. Provides consultation on and investigates and responds to employee complaints through the Internal Dispute Resolution process (Speak Easy) and may handle external arbitration matters. Provides consultation! and guidance relative to job eliminations. Identifies employment law and workplace trends (internally and externally), and may design training programs on relevant topics and/or provide guidance on other pro-active steps to address. Interprets and ensures compliance with various federal reporting requirements including Affirmative Action Plans, EEO-1 and Vets-100 reports and manages company response to OFCCP audits. Handles and/or manages company response to any union organizing activity to include providing necessary training. Collaborates with business partners across functional areas in support of interdepartmental initiatives and issues of company concern

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is required, and law degree or advanced degree is preferred. Must have extensive experience in the area of employee relations as well as a strong understanding of employment laws.
