We are looking for results-driven, customer service focused individuals who have a sincere interest in investigation, determining liability, confirming subrogation potential and maximizing fair recoveries by negotiating and settling subrogated claims.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify carriers of responsible party/parties. Determine extent of liability, damages and contribution potential.

Evaluate liability and damages to ! assess subrogation potential including consideration of jurisdiction regulations.

Direct the preservation of evidence. Manage evidence; hire experts and identify resources for specific activities to further the investigation of investigate the claim. Assign, manage and direct litigated claims and associated attorney contacts.

Verify the nature and extent of the loss by obtaining and reviewing appropriate records and damages documentation (e.g., recall information, successor corporations, etc). Conduct -next tier- investigations based on information obtained.

Negotiate subrogation recoveries with carriers, responsible party(s), and other legal representatives/attorneys.

Keeps diary system to manage file in a timely manner; Document key activities in a timely, clear, and concise manner.

Manage the pursuit and recovery of subrogation claims in a timely and aggressive manner.

Manage expenses on assigned files to assure cost ! effective resolution, including legal expenses on the few litigated fil! es that may be managed.

Communicate with insureds, claimants, agents, witnesses, and attorneys during the pursuit of subrogation. May refer claim to other company resources (e.g., SIU, Risk Control).

Utilize Staff Counsel whenever possible. Select appropriate panel counsel as needed.

Partner with counsel to develop litigation plan and adhere to applicable guidelines.

Direct and monitor activities with counsel in accordance with established litigation plan. Recognize and implement alternate means of resolution.

Professionally communicate and provide exceptional customer service to insureds and agents; Update appropriate parties as needed, providing new facts as they become available and an analysis of their impact on the liability and recovery settlement options.

Maintain favorable working relationships with claim offices, including assisting in training as appropriate.

Appropriately deal with information that is! considered personal and confidential.

Fulfill specific service commitments made to certain accounts, as outlined in Special Account Communication (SAC) instructions, to inquiries from agents and brokers.

Education / Work Experience:
Bachelors degree or equivalent claim experience desired working level knowledge in liability and of assigned line of business.
Working knowledge of the Internet, claim systems and Microsoft products.
Working level knowledge and skill in claim and recovery strategies.
