Bring your outstanding 3D Animating skills into actions to create assets for various digital uses in the world of play experiences

Core Responsibilities
As a 3D Animator in the Virtual Asset Design department, you will be creating animations to showcase functions and features of our models along with bringing the models to life with storytelling and signature LEGO® fun to the Building Experiences. You will also help support our growing game animation libraries for various iconic characters. Your animations will be used for areas such as our digital building instructions and our video games. Additional responsibilities:

  • Creating/maintaining idle, emote, cycle animations for various characters to expand our internal Animation Libraries with high quality content living up to our LEGO Guidelines and Standards

  • Crafting unique video content for showcasing functionality and fun of selected models for our Digital Building Instructions Experience

  • Help defining the quality on LEGO® standards and guides for animations of characters and models along with key partners

  • Support the creation of an animation platform for reuse across the product development areas

  • Mature and define technical aspects and workflows ensuring our animations are fit for a wide range of future needs

  • Deliver animations according to production schedules

Virtual Asset Design creates, maintains and owns the digital LEGO® Bricks and ensure they can be utilized for various purposes across the LEGO Group and by vendors and partners. We strive to increase reuse and consistency across physical and digital LEGO® products.

Do you have what it takes?
As a 3D Animator you will be responsible for maintaining and pushing quality and look of the characters/creatures through scalable solutions with a long-term perspective. Moreover, you bring:

  • In-depth knowledge/experiences with animation tools, primarily Autodesk Maya

  • Working experience from games, feature films, TV series, Apps or similar

  • Solid Industry experience within Art/design, within Character Animations and rigging.

  • Strong collaborations and communications skills across many levels within the organization

  • An ability to be self-driven and result oriented

  • Understanding game engines Unreal/Unity animation workflows
