For our California workshops in San Dimas and Irwindale, we are seeking an Employee Relations (ER) Manager with a strong voice and passion for making a difference for every employee, while contributing to the growth and success of an organization. At Louis Vuitton, People Make the Difference and this newly created position will play an integral role as an ambassador of the Brand, a key business partner for leadership, and an employee advocate for our dedicated team.


This position will report to the Senior Director of Human Resources and will have ownership of the following key areas:


PROFIL

  • Develops and implements innovative approaches and training to positively impact employee engagement, improve performance, and enhance the workplace environment.
  • Maintains good communication and a positive relationship with HR colleagues, managers, and employees to promote employee happiness and ensure a positive working environment.
  • Provides strategic support and leadership on mitigating risks associated with internal policies and programs, laws, and regulations.
  • Provides advice, counseling, and guidance to supervisors and managers to maintain and promote effective employee relations.
  • Develops and provides formal training to management population on ER topics.
  • Leads and ensures employee relations investigations are properly conducted, detailed, and escalated, consistently, in adherence to company policies.
  • Leads the analysis and research to understand potential risks and the associated drivers of employee related concerns. After analyzing the information, makes recommendations on changes.
  • Partners with internal and external Employment Counsel on employment cases and implementation of any new employment legislation.
  • Handles all day-to-day employee relations matters - including disciplinary actions, and performance management, ensuring consistency in decision making, along with compliance with applicable laws.
  • Reviews, or prepares, written documentation for corrective actions, performance improvement plans, job abandonment letters, accommodation letters, etc.
  • Is Responsible for the E-Learning management system for all Employee Relations trainings and maintains compliance with all legally required harassment trainings.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, other relevant field of study, or the equivalent years of experience
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in HR with a strong focus on Employee Relations; preferably in the manufacturing, distribution, retail, or hospitality industry (Minimum 2 years as a manager)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point)
  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish. French is a plus
  • Agile approach with the ability to be tactical and strategic
  • Drive for results without compromising ethics and quality
  • Strong capacity to work autonomously in an evolving and fast-paced environment
  • Sound, legal, and commercially astute business decision making skills
  • Capacity to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to all issues.
  • Effective communicator, able to articulate ideas clearly and concisely in a variety of settings, adjusting the message to match the audience
  • Extensive knowledge of employee and labor relations laws, regulations, and practices

SALARY: The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of USD$100,000 - $130,000 annually, plus the opportunity for a bonus.
