The primary focus of the position will be managing the global Check Point security infrastr! ucture which includes the firewall, VPN, Anti-Virus, URL filtering, DLP, and IPS blades. Additionally the candidate will support the Check Point Endpoint Security and SmartEvent systems. The position will require a deep and broad based understanding of networking and the ability to support and maintain a LAN/WAN infrastructure utilizing high end Cisco switching/routing hardware. In particular the candidate will act as the lead for security related projects within the Cisco environment such as the implementation of 802.1x, DMVPN, and zone based firewalls. Responsibilities of the role will range from design and implementation of new technologies to the daily operational support and monitoring of security infrastructure. The candidate will also be involved in the configuration and support of other networking technologies such as the Juniper Secure Access, Accellion Secure File Transfer, SecureLink Enterprise, SolarWinds NPM and the Citrix Netscaler ADC is also desirable. This ! position reports to the Firm's Assistant Director of Network Services. !
The successful candidate will have a four year IT related degree, preferably a Bachelor of Science or Engineering, and a minimum of five years experience working with enterprise class security systems. Candidates must have the ability to design, install and maintain complex security and network systems. Additionally they must have in depth understanding of the security threats faced by an enterprise network and be well versed in the best practice and processes that can be used to mitigate these risks. The individual who fills this position will need good communication skills, be self-motivated, organized, capable of working independently, and possess solid decision making and project management skills. Check Point CCSA and/or CCSE certifications are a requirement. Cisco CCNA/CCNP certifications are a plus as well as industry wide security certifications such as the CISSP and GSEC.
