$43,836 - $48,450
HOURS: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

1 Hour Unpaid Lunch

OVERALL OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB:
To plan, organize, direct and coordinate the work of the Domestic Relations Office.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
1. Coordinates with staff the intake and processing complaints requesting adult and child support.
2. Establishes policies and standards for operating program.
3. Reviews, analyses, and evaluates program objectives.
4. Reviews the staffâs plans and coordinates with them to better achieve their program goals.
5. Administers special projects of major scope as directed by the President Judge.
6. Interprets the program to governmental officials and directs the development of wor! king arrangements with other agencies on a county and statewid! e basis.
7. Directs the development of and adherence to procedures for the collection, custody, accounting and distribution of support collections and IV-D program funds.
8. Reviews federal and state regulations and legislation.
9. Supervises and arranges for training of professional, technical and clerical staff.
10. Determines individual and overall program needs and objectives and reviews existing and proposed federal and state regulations and legislation affecting the program area.
11. Prepares reports and recommends and conducts special projects.
12. Performs duties under the administrative direction of the President Judge with consultation from the state IV-D agency to assure adherence to standards, polices, and provision of adequate services.
OTHER DUTIES OF THE JOB:
1. Attend meetings as required.
2. Maintain confidentiality of office affairs.
3. Performs other tasks to ensur! e that program quality and program requirements are maintained.
4. Performs related work as required.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Direction and Supervision from the President Judge.
SUPERVISION GIVEN:
Provides supervision and direction to department employee on a daily basis.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works indoors in adequate work space, temperatures, ventilation and lighting.
Works with average indoor exposure to noise, stress and disruptions.
Normal indoor exposure to dust/dirt.
Works in conditions of potential outbursts or disruptive behavior of clients.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS;
1. Must possess ability to record, convey and present information, explain procedures and
follow instructions.
2. Must be able to sit for long periods throughout the workday, with intermittent periods of
standing, walking, bending, twisting and reaching necessary to carry ou! t job duties.
3. Medium work with occasional lifting/carrying ! of objects.
4. Sedentary work, with occasional from coordination movements of fingers/hands to simple
movements of feet/legs; torso necessary to carry out job duties.
5. Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability.
6. Must be able to cope with the physical and mental stress of the position.
7. Must be able to pay close attention to details, coordinate efficiently and concentrate on
work.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A. EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, public administration or a related field; AND
WORK EXPERIENCE: Six (6) years of increasingly responsible experience in program management in an area of assignment including three (3) years of leadership experience in a complex and diverse organization. Public sector management experience preferred.

Must be able to speak and understand the English language in an understandable
manner in order to carry out essential job duties.
Must possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Must possess ability to function independently, have flexibility and the ability to work effectively with the public, co-workers and others.
Must possess ability to maintain confidentiality in regard to County information and records.
Must possess the technical knowledge of operating personal computers and other office equipment.
Must possess knowledge of modern office practices and procedures and the ability to perform same in an efficient manner.
Must possess mental alertness, clerical and math aptitude and a general knowledge of business English and grammar and the ability to perform these skills with accuracy and with reasonable speed.
Must possess the ability to work independently on c! omplex tasks.
Must possess ability to meet and interact effectively! with co-workers and the general public, and to respond accurately to routine questions/inquiries regarding department operations and procedures.
