Contemporary Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting Claims & Litigation Coordinator for contract positions in Philadelphia, PA.

The C! laims & Litigation Coordinator provides critical support for the daily administration and processing of general liability, automobile and first party claims by being the first point of contact for all claims intake via telephone or in personal and ensuring claims information is accurately coded and entered into the claims electronic tracking system.

The ideal candidate should have a proven record of personal and professional achievement and able to master new technologies as needed. A strong candidate should have the ability to function in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and a strong desire to help a business grow.

Key Responsibilities:
Provides intake services of all claims initiated by the general public, insurance companies, attorneys, PGW employees, etc; records claim information, conducts initial investigation and instructs claimant of PGW policy/process; ensures all claim data is accurate and complete; determines validity of claim and no! tifies appropriate parties of next step.
Enters claim data! into the Risk Management Information System for all claims processed through the department applying appropriate coding and narrative summary data; runs regular reports to audit entered data to ensure integrity of system.
Assists in conducting full investigations by gathering facts, company records and documentation associated with incidents; contacts relevant parties involved to interview, inspect and obtain evidence of alleged accident sites developing first level of risk file.
Processes, prepares and maintains electronic and manual files for a variety claim documentation paperwork including but not limited to correspondences, invoices, expense reports, non-litigated case files, photographic evidence of damages, and etc.; tracks the process of claims to ensure deadlines are met; maintains files on all claims for the 2 year statue of limitations and ensures all associated paperwork is filed for future reference.
Assists with the coordination of selected Munici! pal Court and arbitration cases by arranging for witnesses and gathering pertinent information as required in defense of cases.
Liaison with external departments to ensure contract renewals, proper invoicing and budget/variance reporting.
Performs other special projects and assignments as requested.

Job Requirements:
Must have verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build long-term constructive and cooperative working relationships with co-workers, vendors, management and outside agencies.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Exceptional customer service orientation.
Strong communication and problem solving skills.
High school diploma or GED or certification in Office Practices; Associate Degree preferred.
1 â€" 2 years experience working in a legal, government or utility claims environment, handling highly sensitive and confidential information; knowl! edge of Governmental Immunity Act and the PA One Call Act would be a pl! us.
Must be familiar with basic business and management principles involved in claims and legal terminology, contracts, finance and claims processing/investigations.
Must have organizational skills with the ability to compile, code, categorize calculate, audit or verify information recognizing potential risk factors.
Must be able to apply learned claims and legal principles to identify/detect known patterns within distracting materials and arrange information according to specific set of rules.
Must be able to recognize issues outside of job scope needing further analysis and/or review to be addressed by senior peers.
Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office and risk & insurance/financial software such as Oracle, Fiserv, SAS, etc.
Equivalent combination of experience and education may be acceptable in lieu of certifications.
