Job Summary: Responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and evaluating all benefits programs. Carries out effective liaison with outside organizations, working i! n close cooperation and coordination with legal counsel, consu! ltants, and benefit vendors. Negotiates with vendors on rates, services, and administration. Responsible for the direction of Benefits Specialists and Representatives. Provides leadership and direction for team which may include multiple functional areas. Develops and implements strategy for functional area(s). May have responsibility for developing and managing budget.Primary Responsibilities: - Responsible for leading annual process to update 3 year enterprise benefit design strategy and year one roadmap for approval by benefit committee.- Develop health care plan design strategy to support engagement in specific clinical solutions developed and implemented by the strategic health initiatives team.- Utilize business intelligence and population health data to design customized benefit solutions for the various segments of the organization.- Serve as the liaison between the strategic health initiatives team and the benefit plan management and operations teams supporting the! implementation of programs that integrate into existing benefit plans.- Responsible for managing benefit data analytics strategy and partnership with service providers, developing and managing process to measure program effectiveness and efficiency.- Serve as the liaison between the benefit center of expertise and the compensation center of expertise with regard to total compensation projects.Core Responsibilities: - Provides recommendation and implementation of corporate Benefits policies, practices, and programs for all levels of Company personnel.- Develops and recommends employee benefit changes and programs to address lost drivers. Benchmarks benefit plans against competition. Markets and promotes employee retention.- Provides support and direction as it relates to benefits during union contract negotiations and other labor relations activities.- Directs and supervises benefit plan design and implements to develop equitable compensation programs in conjunction with Co! mpany policy.- Selects and supervises benefit consultants, attorneys, t! rustees, and TPAs.- Develops and delivers effective employee communications and materials.- Negotiates rate and terms with vendors and consultants.- Prepares and monitors budgets.- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Job Specification: - Bachelors Degree or Equivalent- Generally requires 10+ years related experience
