ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Collect data through company specific reports, systems, and tools. Analyze data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
- Develop, track, monitor and communicate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and trends related to them.
- Identify and summarize key data trends and issues by analyzing leading and lagging indicators.
- Work closely with business stakeholders across the enterprise and with customer teams to understand and deliver on their specific reporting needs.
- Collaborates with finance, merchandising, and sales to develop, align and evaluate sales strategies.
- Research market demographics by evaluating competition, understanding the impact on McLane, and determining solutions to improve revenues while maintaining appropriate margins.
- Make recommendations as needed to improve sales, customer relationships, and profitability.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree, Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or related quantitative field and 1 year experience in data analytics, project management, business, or related area.
- Advanced experience with Access, Excel, Word, and Power Point is required.
- Experience with data visualization (Tableau) and analytical software.
- Experience applying quantitative and qualitative analysis to solve business problems.
- Self-motivated to engage with cross-functional teams, handle multiple priorities, and possess a business consultancy mind-set.
- Highly organized and results oriented.
- Project management experience is desirable.
- Knowledge of the transportation industry preferred.
- Ability to think both analytically and creatively.
