Department Overview
PG&E’s Corporate Real Estate Strategy and Services (CRESS) organization is responsible for governing, planning, acquiring, designing constructing, operating, and maintaining 7.7 million square feet (sq. ft.) of facilities throughout PG&E’s 72,000 square mile service territory. These facilities include but are not limited to service centers, data centers, contact centers, office buildings, shops, warehouses, construction and equipment yards, vehicle maintenance garages, Customer Service Offices (CSO), and meeting and training facilities.
Position Summary
This is an IBEW Local 1245 represented classification, which has over 100 years of experience representing employees at PG&E.
The Reprographics Operator duties are physical in nature with work duties that may include loading/unloading, lifting and pulling.
This position will be onsite at our West Sacramento location and have hours Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm.
PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, collective bargaining agreement, and internal equity.
Under the terms of the collective bargaining agreement, the starting hourly rate range for this position is $25.42 to $45.75, subject to collectively bargained wage increases.
Job Responsibilities
Operates printing equipment
Finishes print jobs which includes but not limited to wrapping, cutting, punching, boxing, folding, and shipping, and meeting customer deadlines as assigned
Set up print jobs and define the specifications for the job; type of paper, paper drawer setup and pulls, paper drawer setup etc.
Provide basic shift maintenance; cleaning, loading paper, checking for toner levels, and loading toner, adding staples, etc.
Testing the machines for ensuring the seamless functionality
Detecting any malfunctions and determining the action required immediately
Keeping records of the maintenance and service cycle of each device
Setup print job on basic computer monitor/server
Placing orders for consumables
Qualifications
Minimum:
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must possess a high school diploma or GED
Must possess a valid California driver’s license or ability to obtain by first day of employment
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds up to 15 feet
Ability to stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours a day
Desired:
2 – 3 years’ experience of operating a copier or similar device
Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage time, meet deadlines and efficiently maintain the proper functionality of the devices.
Sound understanding of technical aspects of the devices and the ability to detect malfunctions.
Ability to use basic computer monitor/server and basic understanding Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to execute orders and coordinate work with other members of the department..
