The global law firm of K&L Gates LLP seeks a Conflicts Processing Specialist for its Conflicts Department in the Pittsburgh office. As part of the Firm's risk management function relating to its new business intake process, this position is responsible for the accurate, timely review and processing of various types of Conflict Check Requests, collaboration with Conflicts Analyst lawyers regarding needed revisions, and updating expired conflict checks. The Processing Specialist is also responsible for handling database change requests, managing large search projects, performing Securities Trading Clearance searches, and assisting with ad hoc projects related to conflicts and insider trading. Superior customer service skills are essential as the candidate must be able to work as a team player with a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality while maintaining a good rapport with attorneys and staff.
Candidates must:
- be detail oriented and have excellent analytical and judgment skills
- be able to create, edit, proofread and finalize all written communications
- have the ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them under the required time constraints, which at times requires a high level of mental effort and concentration due to volume and fast-paced environment
This position requires a Bachelors degree and/or equivalent legal industry experience. Must be able to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism. Ability to deal with stress associated with time-sensitive workload. K nowledge of Metastorm automated workflow software, and Elite Professional Billing System a plus . Schedule includes a 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. shift approximately once per week and the potential for periodic overtime.
