Job Summary:
Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including, but not limited to, license and distribution, hardware and software, applications, consulting and professional services, and product development agreements for cable, Internet and advanced broadband products and services and related businesses.Ã Provide legal advice to Cable Division executives on day to day licensing, e-commerce, and technology matters.
Core Responsibilities:
Provides legal counsel in a particular subject area of expertise and/or to a specific business unit or units. Dispenses legal knowledge and expertise impacting business operations. Works closely with executives and management.
Performs legal research when and as necessary to resolve legal issues and determine the ap! propriate course of action regarding a particular issue/case. ! Consults with and supervises outside counsel to develop legal strategies and resolve issues in non-routine matters.
Operates with minimal supervision and coordinates legal functions with other departments affected by the matter/issue.
Provides mentorship and guidance to junior level attorneys and may have direct management responsibilities for non-attorney legal specialists.
Consistent exercise of sound judgment and discretion in all matters.
Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime as necessary.

Job Specification:
Minimum seven years combined experience with a law firm and corporate legal depar! tment.
In depth knowledge of licensing, Internet, e-commerce, technology, copyright, and privacy law, and commercial agreements.
Familiarity with trademark and advertising law, business, and technologies a plus.
Excellent drafting, negotiating, problem solving, and communications skills.
Understanding of Internet, e-commerce, broadband, and applications business and technologies strongly preferred.
Ability to formulate creative solutions to accomplish the company's objectives.
Ability to work effectively with senior management and operations personnel, simultaneously manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with consistently high quality work product.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Law Degree.Ã Top 20% of class and law review preferred.
Member of a state bar, Pennsylvania preferred, in good standing.
