Teleflex, a medical device company, has a rare and challenging opportunity within its in-house legal department for an Assistant General Counsel lending expertise directly t! o business leaders on a variety of topics critical to organization success.The Assistant General Counsel for Teleflex, a medical device company based in suburban Philadelphia will be a highly motivated general commercial and transactional attorney responsible for providing timely and effective legal support to the business, its executives and management, regarding contractual, regulatory, and risk management matters.Key Responsibilities: • Reporting directly to the Associate General Counsel, works in conjunction with colleagues to support the management of legal affairs of the company.• Provides research, legal advice and other legal assistance to the General Counsel and the Associate General Counsels.• Creatively resolves complex legal issues in a manner that balances competing interests/concerns and advances the goals of the Company.• Interprets contracts, laws, rulings and regulations and clearly and effectively explains complex issues to the General Counsel and ! the Associate General Counsels as well as Company management a! nd executives.• Reviews and negotiates contracts and legal instruments of the company.• Strong intellect, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.• Ability to act and function both independently and as part of a team.• Results oriented, strategic thinking, agility, and customer service.• Self-starter, effective at collaboration and building strong client relationships.• Works on complex legal issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the businesses, the products, and goals/values of the company.• 'Hands on' mentality and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.• Creative and business savvy.• Ability to work with minimal supervisory oversight and keen awareness when to include leadership with issue resolution.
- Juris Doctor• Pennsylvania Bar License• Minimum 4 years' experience in a top law firm or in-house legal department focusing in contract law, Intellectual Property, licensing agreeme! nts, regulatory compliance and hands on legal counsel to organization leadership
