The key responsibilities for this position are as follows:
Investigate assigned claims and evaluate claim exposure to establish reserves.
Manage the indemnity, medical and legal aspects of assigned claims.
Control medical treatment and coordinate independent medical evaluations where appropriate.
Document file activity on a timely basis.
Assess all aspects of the claim file and accurately detail significant events and outstanding issues.
Comply with state regulatory statues and timeframes for issuing payments and filing specific forms.
Develop resolution strategy plans to achieve appropriate claim results and timely closure.
Constant interaction with insured, claimant and/or claimant's attorney as needed to direct negotiations and achieve settlement.
5 or more years of Workers' Compensation claims adjusting experience.
5 years PA or New Jersey Workers Compensation experience.
Insurance experience in claims handling 3rd party liability.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Excellent time management, analytical, communication, investigative and customer service skills.
Ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Acquiring multiple state licenses may be required.About Chartis
