As an entry-level member of the Conflicts Department, the Conflicts Researcher is responsible for identifying potential conflicts of interest and entering data into the client/matter dat! abase for all of the firms new business. The Conflicts Researcher interacts daily with the firms attorneys, paralegals, secretaries, administrators and service departments to facilitate the opening of new business matters.
Essential Job Functions
Data entry, including entering new client and/or matter information into the client/matter database, adding or changing parties involved in existing matters, and changing client/matter names or status, where applicable. Performing conflicts searches and reporting potential conflicts to attorneys. Printing and sending client profiles in connection with the Auditor Response program. Printing, saving and processing New Matter Reports (including sending them to the Screening Committees for review) Maintaining electronic or paper files of the new matters and accompanying documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree and legal or research experience preferred but not required. The ideal candidate will be s! elf-motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented, with a strong ! client service focus. This role requires the ability to maintain confidentiality, communicate and negotiate clearly, and excellent interpersonal skills.
