Description
Our client, an aircraft manufacturer, is looking for a Contracts Manager to join their corporate team.
The Contracts Manag! er will be responsible for providing contract support to the various departments.
Major responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide contract support to the various departments, including drafting and negotiating contract amendments and assisting with legal issues arising during helicopter delivery activities.
Support the attorneys in the deployment of contract policies.
Assist program management with negotiating contracts (in some cases negotiate directly with customer) and with documentation related to aircraft deliveries;
Provide contract summaries to Management as required and assist with the contract approval process;
Ensure standard agreements comply with policy;
Work with the attorneys to revise standard agreements as required;
Provide training to program management personnel in contract terms and conditions;
Actively participate in the Legal Departmentâs ACE Progra! m, including standard work and business financial goals;
Support attorney in managing Export compliance activities, as well as conducting assessments of export risks in business areas and assist in the development of strategies for risk mitigation;
Drive increase in export awareness and culture shift through special activities.
Bachelorâs Degree required. Law degree preferred. Other advanced degrees are a plus.
10 plus yearsâ experience in contract management required, including 2+ yearsâ experience working full-time with export regulations. Excellent analytical, communication (verbal and written), organizational, and teamwork skills required. A law background is helpful given the legal analysis and application of export laws and regulations requirements of the position.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can manage multiple projects on tight time constraints in a fast-paced work environment.
The person hired will work as part of a business team and should have st! rong interpersonal, communication (written / verbal), analytical, and problem solving skills.
