PURPOSE/MISSION:
Property Management company is seeking a part- time Real Estate Paralegal to join its legal department as assistant counsel.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Immediate and significant client and client attorney interaction
- Manage large & small multiple projects simultaneously
- Preparation of leases , lease amendments, loan documents , and related documen! tation
- Review of leases, workouts, title commitments ! and policies, opinion letters, default letters, and other documentation
- Administrative responsibilities
- UCC searches/filings (optional)
- Work on zoning issues (optional)
- Advise and assist property management and construction departments with contract review and preparation
- Take on other special projects as requested
- Two to four years of solid commercial real estate industry experience
- Paralegal certification a plus
- JD Degree a plus
- Experience in structuring, negotiating and documenting commercial real estate leases and related documents.
- Experience with a broad array of development issues including title and survey
- Experience and interest in real estate entity formation and documentation (such as operating agreements and joint venture agreements) is ideal
- Experience specializing in all aspects of commercial real ! estate, including acquisitions, sales and development of commercial real estate as well as residential developments, condominiums and mixed-use, and possess superior drafting skills
- Experience in like-kind exchanges would be a plus b ut is not required .
