This position is available as a result of consistent growth of our practice. The firm, located on the Main Line, just west of Philadelphia, is recognized as a leader in exempt organization law and works exclusively on matters related to nonprofits, including public charities and private foundations. The firm has an impressive list of clients in local, national, and international markets.
The position has the following requirements:
Demonstrated commitment to, and desire to work with, nonprofit organizations
At least 3 years tax experience - Firm or in house position; exempt organization tax experience desired, but general tax would be acceptable
Licensed to practice law in PA
Excellent communications skills â€" both orally and in writing
Personal Characteristics - positive; decisive; hardworking; mature; poised/level headed; articulate; takes responsibility and initiative; energetic;! thoughtful; team player
Other factors for conside! ration include:
Corporate law experience â€" ideally exempt organization/nonprofit, though general corporate experience would be acceptable
Trusts and Estates â€" Orphans Court, Federal Transfer Tax (estate, gift, and GST), charitable gift planning
Private Firm (preferably big firm) experience
Licensed to practice law in other states, NJ most preferred
Other relevant professional experience in the nonprofit sector
Also helpful: LLM in Tax, Real estate law, transactional work, nonprofit board experience; speaking experience.
